Many people mistakingly purchase and ingest products they are allergic to. Amazon Go is a new system that uses motion and vision technology to eliminate checkout lines at grocery stores. Customers are automatically charged when they leave without waiting in line. A new feature, Amazon EAT, will allow customers to set specific dietary preferences so that no one makes unsafe purchases. Whether it is an allergy or other dietary restrictions like diabetes or keeping kosher, customers will be alerted when they grab an item that does not match their dietary preferences.
This project started as a school assignment at the School of Visual Arts and is now in talks to be produced.
