Exparel is a unique medication—a non-opioid injection administered during surgery that helps in a patient's pain relief journey. We wanted to empower patients, particularly women, to proactively discuss their pain management options with their doctors. Our campaign bridges the conversation gap between patients and doctors, giving patients the knowledge and confidence to express their needs for long-lasting pain relief options before surgery. With Exparel as a pain-relief option, patients can focus on getting back to everything they can't wait to do. ​

We wanted these stories to feel raw and authentic. Using a more cinematic approach, we worked with our team to create a beautiful look and feel. We used texture and grain, making this look different and stand out from other pharmaceutical campaigns.

RESULTS

We sold this work as the first-ever campaign for Exparel and the first AOR-level pharmaceutical campaign for our agency. The work established a new creative standard for the brand and helped drive a significant lift in awareness and engagement among both HCPs and patients.

    • The month after our campaign launched, we had the strongest number of active users to date (40K in January), with the following month increasing by another 17K (57K total)

    • 111% MOM increase in campaign engagement

    • 26.5M+ total impressions across all channels to date

    • Primary KPIs such as Discussion Guide downloads were up 3%
